| After our wedding, we spent our 2 1/2 week honeymoon in Europe, dividing our time between Lisbon (Portugal), Madrid (Spain), and Paris (France). Tim had been to Paris before, while Julie had not been to any of these countries. We both looked very much forward to the trip, and we enjoyed it immensely.
Although mid-autumn weather in Europe may not be as nice as that earlier in the season, mid-autumn also brings some welcome relief from the tourist crowds that occupy Europe earlier in the season. In addition, the sometimes golden hazy sunshine can provide wonderful lighting.
