June highlights:
- Continues to try new foods; baby food, rice cereal, bits of fresh fruit (watermelon and grape), bits of egg yolk.
- Six new teeth appear, for a total of eight. Jadon now has the start of a full set of uper and lower front teeth.
- Learns to feed himself with a spoon. Mom and dad didn't try to teach him, he just grabbed the spoon from mom one day and started using it (usually, but no always, right-end-first)
- Jadon learns to crawl backwards quite well. Can full-speed forward crawling be far behind?...Mom and dad seriously start to baby-proof the house.
- Jadon's first sicknesses.
- In early June, had terrible difficulty breathing one evening (caused by dusty futon we dragged out that hot night to sleep in a cooler room?) that ended up in all-night visit to ER. Cause was not really determined, but his breathing got better after a few hours. In a couple days, that turned into Jadon's first cold, which turned into Jadon's first ear infection a few days after that.
- At end of month, Jadon gets virus that gives him a 102 degree Fahrenheit fever for a few days, but no other symptoms.
